The Role of Legal Professions in EU AML/CFT
Cocuzza & Associati will attend the Light Final Conference organised by the European Economic and Social Committee.
The Conference, dedicated to the role of legal professions in EU AML/CFT, will be held on 25 October 2022 from 14:00 to 17:00, physical and online.
Claudio Cocuzza, member of the Anti-Money Laundering Committee of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), will talk about the “New AML Package & Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA): Supervision for Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions. The view of European Lawyers and Notaries”.
What are the aspects of this forthcoming AML Package that are of concern to European Lawyers?
The event is part of the project “Light, illuminating dark corners” which aims to support transnational training of lawyers and notaries covering anti-money laundering. Its goal is to increase the legal competency and then ensure the effectiveness of AML policy.
Co-funded by the European Union Justice Programme (2014-2020).
